Quinta da Extrema becomes unique because it is crossed by the remarkable geological transition Granite/Schist, which separates the high Plateau of the Beiras and the first valleys of the Douro river basin. It is at this Quinta that unique conditions are combined for the production of wines with a singular profile, resulting from the combination of three characteristics: Altitude, Exposure to the North and Geological Transition. At Quinta da Extrema we look for and potentiate markedly elegant, fresh and mineral wines, with longevity.
